Overview
CallForMe makes AI-powered phone calls on your behalf. To do that well, we need to handle some personal information. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you remain in control.
CallForMe ("we," "our," or "us") operates the CallForMe iOS application and the supporting backend at callformeassistant.com. When you use our app, you trust us with your information — we take that responsibility seriously.
This Privacy Policy describes our practices for collecting, using, and disclosing information when you use CallForMe. By using the app, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.
For questions or requests related to this policy, contact us at benjamin@callformeassistant.com.
Data We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to provide the service. Here is what that includes:
Information you provide
- Your name — used to identify you in the app and to help the AI introduce itself naturally when placing calls.
- Phone numbers to call — the numbers you enter or import from your contacts when creating a call task.
- Call goals and instructions — the purpose of the call and any specific instructions you give (e.g., "schedule a dentist appointment for next Tuesday afternoon").
Data generated by the service
- Call transcripts — a verbatim text record of what was said during the AI-conducted call.
- Call summaries — an AI-generated summary of the outcome, key information, and any next steps from the call.
- Call metadata — timestamps, call duration, and status (e.g., completed, failed, no answer).
Account and subscription data
- Account identifiers — an app-generated user ID used to associate your data with your account.
- Subscription status — managed through RevenueCat; we receive anonymized subscription tier and entitlement data. We do not store payment card details.
Technical and diagnostic data
- Error reports — crash logs and diagnostic information collected via Sentry to help us fix bugs. These are anonymized where possible and do not include call content.
- Usage data — basic app usage signals such as which features you access, used to improve the product.
We do not collect: precise GPS location, health or medical records, financial account information, device contacts beyond phone numbers you explicitly share with us for a call, or Bluetooth or local network data.
App Permissions
CallForMe may request the following system permissions on your iOS device:
Microphone
CallForMe uses your device's microphone during phone calls to allow two-way voice communication when the AI agent needs to hand off to you, or for any real-time monitoring features you enable. Audio from your microphone is not stored independently; call audio is processed by Retell AI to produce transcripts.
Contacts (optional)
You may grant access to your device contacts so you can search for and import phone numbers without typing them manually. We read only the phone numbers and names of contacts you explicitly select. We do not sync, upload, or store your full contacts list on our servers.
All permissions are optional in the sense that you can decline them, though some features may not function without them. You can revoke permissions at any time in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security.
How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect for the following purposes:
- Placing calls on your behalf — your name, the phone number, and your instructions are passed to our AI calling system so Vox can complete the task you requested.
- Delivering results — transcripts and summaries are returned to you in the app so you have a complete record of what happened.
- Managing subscriptions — we use subscription data to determine which features and call limits apply to your account.
- Improving the service — aggregated, anonymized usage data and error reports help us identify bugs and prioritize improvements.
- Customer support — if you contact us with an issue, we may reference your account data and recent call history to help resolve it.
- Legal compliance — we may use or retain data as required by applicable law.
We do not use your call transcripts or instructions to train AI models, and we do not sell your personal data to advertisers or data brokers.
Third-Party Services
CallForMe relies on the following third-party services to operate. Each sub-processor has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data.
Retell AI
Voice Calling & Transcription
Retell AI powers the AI voice agent that places and conducts phone calls. Your call instructions, the phone number being called, and the live call audio are processed by Retell AI to produce transcripts. Retell AI's infrastructure handles the telephony connection.
Retell AI Privacy Policy →OpenAI
Language Model (Conversation & Summarization)
OpenAI's language models power the conversational intelligence behind Vox and generate call summaries. Call transcripts and your instructions are processed by OpenAI. We use the OpenAI API under their enterprise data usage policies, which prohibit using API inputs to train OpenAI models by default.
OpenAI Privacy Policy →RevenueCat
Subscription Management
RevenueCat manages in-app purchases and subscription entitlements. RevenueCat receives anonymized device identifiers and purchase events from Apple's App Store. We receive subscription status and tier information. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple.
RevenueCat Privacy Policy →Sentry
Error Monitoring & Diagnostics
Sentry captures crash reports and error logs from the iOS app and our backend. Error data may include device type, OS version, app version, and a stack trace. We configure Sentry to minimize inclusion of personal data in error reports. Call content is not included in error reports.
Sentry Privacy Policy →Railway
Backend Infrastructure
Our Express.js backend server is hosted on Railway. Railway provides the compute and networking infrastructure that processes API requests between the app and our third-party services. Railway does not independently access your call data.
Railway Privacy Policy →Apple App Store & StoreKit
App Distribution & Payments
CallForMe is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple handles all payment processing for subscriptions and purchases. Apple's privacy policy governs data collected through the App Store and payment flows.
Apple Privacy Policy →Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only in the following circumstances:
- With sub-processors — as described in the Third-Party Services section above, data is shared with Retell AI, OpenAI, RevenueCat, Sentry, and Railway solely to operate the service.
- Legal requirements — we may disclose data if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of CallForMe, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers — if CallForMe is acquired, merged with, or transfers its assets to another entity, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or prominent in-app notice if this occurs and a new privacy policy applies.
- With your consent — we may share your data for any other purpose with your explicit consent.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service:
- Call transcripts and summaries — retained on our servers for as long as your account exists, so you can review past calls. You may delete individual call records in the app at any time.
- Account data — retained until you delete your account.
- Error logs — Sentry retains error logs for a rolling 90-day period by default.
- Subscription data — RevenueCat retains purchase history in accordance with their data retention policy and applicable legal requirements.
When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or legitimate business interests (such as fraud prevention).
To request account deletion, email us at benjamin@callformeassistant.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request."
Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data:
- All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.
- Our backend is hosted on Railway with access controls limiting who can query stored data.
- API keys and secrets are stored as environment variables, not in source code.
- Third-party services (Retell AI, OpenAI, RevenueCat) are SOC 2 or similarly certified vendors.
No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at benjamin@callformeassistant.com.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion — request that we delete your personal data (subject to legal retention obligations).
- Portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection — object to certain types of processing, including for direct marketing.
- Restriction — request that we limit how we use your data while a dispute is resolved.
To exercise any of these rights, email benjamin@callformeassistant.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, the right to opt out of its sale (we do not sell personal information), and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. To submit a verifiable consumer request, contact us at the email above.
European Economic Area and United Kingdom (GDPR/UK GDPR)
If you are located in the EEA or UK, our legal bases for processing your data are: (a) performance of the contract to provide you with the CallForMe service; (b) our legitimate interests in improving the service and preventing fraud; and (c) compliance with legal obligations. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
Children's Privacy
CallForMe is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at benjamin@callformeassistant.com and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we do, we will:
- Update the "Effective date" at the top of this page.
- Post a notice in the app for material changes.
- For significant changes that affect how we use your data in materially different ways, we will seek your consent where required by law.
